Why we are going

Sometimes, to take the next step, we don’t need to rush at all.

We need to stop. Go somewhere you can hear the sea. Give yourself a few days with nothing to decide, nowhere to rush, and finally listen to your own inner rhythms.

And sometimes it is the opposite: we need to move, explore, try something new, and restore the body’s energy and resources.

“The Way Back to Yourself” is a signature programme created at the meeting point of two different yet remarkably complementary approaches.

Crete

Two guides. Two perspectives. One island.

Elena Smelyansky

Elena Smelyansky · Mindful Fitness

A bodywork and movement practitioner, founder and face of the Mindful Fitness YouTube channel with an audience of more than 275,000 subscribers. Her approach is grounded in over 35 years of studying movement and teaching movement practices. Elena offers gentle yet deep practices that help you feel your body more clearly, restore its resources, release accumulated tension, and find new inner support.

This is not a set of routine exercises or mechanical adherence to a programme. What matters is fine-tuning: each person’s individual characteristics, current state, breathing, attention, and quality of movement.

These are the kinds of practices you can gradually take home with you and bring into everyday life.

Dmytro Hozak

Traveller · Crete explorer

A traveller with almost fifty years of experience and someone who knows Crete far beyond the usual tourist routes.

His energy, optimism, knowledge of the island, and endless curiosity will help us experience another side of Crete — to feel its character, discover special places, and absorb its sun, salty sea spray, scents, and colours.

To rest, explore, recover, and return to yourself.

Format

An intimate group. An almost individual approach.

It matters to us that no one gets lost in a large group.

That is why the group will be small. It allows us to see each person, take their condition and movement patterns into account, and adapt the practice when needed.

Morning and evening sessions become attentive work with the body rather than a mass workout — a shared space, with room for your own rhythm.

Individual movement practice

We are creating a retreat where there is no single right way to spend these days.

Movement and practice

Movement and practice

Gentle, deep work with the body, breath, awareness, and quality of movement.

Rest and recovery

Rest and recovery

A few hours by the sea, a walk, sunshine, water — or simply time when nothing needs to be done.

Stillness and inner exploration

Stillness and inner exploration

Space where nothing distracts you from your own inner dialogue. You can choose your own rhythm.

The Way Back to Yourself
No promises of miracles

Not a magic pill. A chance to recalibrate your inner compass.

The retreat does not promise to change your life in a few days.

Real change comes later — in everyday life, in the small decisions and actions we begin to make differently.

But sometimes we truly need a moment to stop, look inward, and understand where to go next.

The retreat may bring a deep insight. It may mark the beginning of a new chapter. Or it may simply give you a few days of genuine rest.

What matters is that the path from there remains yours.

The rhythm of the week

Gentle. Deep. Without rigid rules.

There are no strict rituals or schedules that must be followed at all costs.

There are morning and evening practices, movement, breath, the sea, walks, new experiences, and enough space simply to be.

The retreat is suitable both for those just beginning to explore body-based practices and for those with substantial experience who want to go deeper.

And then there is Crete

Because place matters.

We plan to spend the week in two different parts of the island — Elafonisi and Matala.

This week will also be a small road trip across Crete. We’ll travel between locations in rental cars, discovering places along the way that rarely appear on standard tourist routes.

Not simply to see Crete, but to feel the shift in space, landscape, and your own state. The sea, sun, cliffs, and salty wind are not scenery here. They become part of the experience itself.
